Komodo (Varanus komodoensis) is rare endangered species, only found in the Komodo National Park. The total area of Komodo National Park is 1,817 km². Expanded up to 25 km² (Banta Island) and 479 km² of sea waters will produce a total area of up to 2,321 km². At least 2500 Komodo live in this area. Large Komodo usually has a length of 3 m and a weight of 90 kg. Komodo's habitat is outdoors with savanna grasslands, rainforests, white sandy beaches, coral reefs and crystal clear water beaches. In this area, you also can find horses, wild buffalo, deer, wild boar male, snakes, monkeys, and various types of birds.
Komodo National Park has amazing underwater life. The divers said that the waters of Komodo is one of the best dive sites in the world. Has a stunning underwater scenery. You can find 385 species of beautiful corals, mangroves, and sea grass as home to thousands of species of fish, 70 species of sponges, 10 species of dolphins, 6 kinds of whales, green turtles, and various species of sharks and stingrays.
